Inside the Internship: Spotlight on Badgley Phelps Interns

Submitted by Andrea Chiodo on

The UW Department of Economics is proud to highlight three economics majors—Maxim Arzumanov, Oscar Coromina Pujol, and Jacob Kirsch—who are currently interning at Badgley Phelps. These talented student-athletes have brought leadership, strong work ethics, and a passion for growth to the company. Maxim, captain of the UW Ice Hockey Team, values the teamwork and resilience he’s developed through hockey in his professional work. Oscar, a member of the UW Gymnastics Team, credits gymnastics with improving his discipline and adaptability, which he applies to his role in investment research. Jacob, a coach for the Roosevelt High School Freshman Basketball Team, draws on his coaching experience to enhance his problem-solving and leadership skills in financial planning. Reflecting on their impact, Julie Parisio-Roy from Badgley Phelps shared, “For many years, Badgley Phelps has supported the UW Econ Department through membership on the Visiting Committee, guest speaking at events and classes, and recruiting interns both for our Research and Financial Planning teams. We currently have two employees who were previously interns. Our goal is to find young talent and provide them a long-term path for career growth with our team.” These interns have already made a meaningful contribution to Badgley Phelps, and we look forward to seeing where their careers take them next.
