The Department of Economics is pleased to announce the establishment of the G. Dennis Shine Endowed Fund in Economics, a generous new gift that will provide vital, broad-based support for our students. This endowed fund reflects a deep commitment to expanding access to high-quality educational opportunities and strengthening the student experience at UW.
The G. Dennis Shine Endowed Fund in Economics will offer flexible support for undergraduate students, including assistance with books, supplies, and other essential educational materials. In addition, the fund may be used to help cover tuition and fees, as well as living expenses—reducing financial barriers and allowing students to focus more fully on their academic goals.
We are deeply grateful for this meaningful investment in our students’ success. This fund will have a lasting impact by ensuring that future generations of economics students have the resources they need to thrive.
