2027 Department of Economics Graduation Celebration
Wednesday, June 9th, 2027 | Time: TBD | Husky Union Building Ballroom
Please join us in celebrating the Department of Economics Class of 2027!
The ceremony will feature remarks from our Department Chair, a Distinguished Alumnus, and a Student Speaker. We will also recognize our outstanding students and honor our graduating PhD and bachelor’s degree recipients.
This special event is an opportunity for students, faculty, families, and friends to come together and celebrate the achievements, hard work, and accomplishments of our graduates.
Who is eligible to participate?
Those who have graduated with a Major in Economics in Summer 2026, Autumn 2026, Winter 2027, and those who have submitted a Graduation Application for Spring 2027 and/or Summer 2027.
How to Register
Students must register to attend the Economics Graduation Celebration. An email and RSVP form will be sent to eligible students in early May 2027.
Registration for the Economics Graduation Celebration is a separate and independent process from the registration for Commencement. To register for Commencement, see this link.
Ticket Information
Tickets are not required; however, we ask that students bring no more than 6 guests. The HUB Ballroom doors will be closed when the room reaches capacity. Please email econadv@uw.edu to request any disability accommodations.
Attire
Caps and Gowns (graduation regalia) are encouraged but are not required; However, the vast majority of graduates will choose to wear them. Business casual attire is suggested for those not wearing UW graduation regalia.
