Mark your calendars! Husky Giving Day 2023 is taking place on April 6, 2023. This 24-hour fundraising challenge is a campus-wide celebration of philanthropy and the amazing work that can be done with support from our alumni, donors, and community.
This year, the Department of Economics will be raising money for the Friends of Economics Fund. This unrestricted fund supports a wide range of departmental initiatives, including:
- The Friends of Economics scholarship, awarded to an undergraduate student majoring in Economics each year
- Economics Undergraduate Board and Women in Economics tutoring, workshops, and events for students
- Our mentorship program that allows our students to benefit from the experience of our alumni
- Our four key seminar series in econometrics, international and macroeconomics, microeconomics and development economics.
