Scholarships and Financial Support

Undergraduate Students

Each Spring (usually April) we offer a few scholarships to which students may apply.  Each scholarship is for Econ majors attending UW the subsequent academic year.

Alberta C. Corkery Scholarship.  Based on academic merit and financial need. Students must have a FAFSA on file indicating financial need.  

Agnes C. Nelson Memorial Scholarship.  Available to students majoring in either Economics or Political Science , who demonstrate interest in BOTH fields. Based on academic merit and financial need.  Students must have a FAFSA on file indicating financial need.  

J. Parker & Evelyn Cruz Sroufe Scholarship. Based on academic merit and financial need. Students must have a FAFSA on file indicating financial need.  Underrepresented students are highly encouraged to apply.  

Michelle and Stephen Turnovsky Undergraduate Scholarship Available to students based on academic merit.

Yanlan & Robert Yang Scholarship.  Based on academic merit and extreme financial need. Students must have a FAFSA on file indicating financial need.  

Stan & Cindy Freimuth Scholarship. Based on financial need.
