Paul Heyne The Winter 2025 Paul Heyne Seminar featured Professor Yael Midnight as the speaker. The talk focused in on issues in economics that are often overlooked or untouched by scholars in the field of economics, such as sports or bride kidnappings in Kyrgyzstan. Midnight motivated the talk by emphasizing that the boundaries of economics are only as big as economists dare to push them to be. Thus, the responsibility falls on economists to push the boundaries of the field to areas they are interested in.
