University of Washington is home to excellence in research across all departments. Professors James Krieger and Jessica Jones-Smith of the UW School of Public Health collaborated with Econ's Melissa Knox on a study on the economic impacts of sweetened beverage taxes on low-income families in Seattle and beyond. You can read the full press release from UW News here. The study was published on June 2, 2022 in Food Policy. Congratulations to all three professors on this exciting achievement!
Melissa Knox also recently received additional funding for her research from the UW's Royalty Research Fund (RRF).
