Adjunct Professor Philip Bond Selected Co-Editor of the Journal of Finance

Professor Philip Bond

Adjunct Professor of Economics Philip Bond, the Norman J. Metcalfe Endowed Professor in Finance in the UW Foster School of Business, has been selected as co-editor of the Journal of Finance published by the American Finance Association. His appointment, with co-editors Amit Seru and Wei Xiong, will commence in July 2016. 

Professor Bond completed his PhD at the University of Chicago in 1999 and his AB at the University of Oxford in 1993. He is a specialist in corporate finance and financial markets, with industry expertise in the areas of financial services and investment banking. He has been a faculty member in the Foster School of Business since 2013, having previously taught at the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota, the Wharton School of Management at the University of Pennsylvania, and the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. 

The Journal of Finance publishes leading research across all the major fields of financial research. It is one of the most widely cited academic journals on finance and one of the most widely cited journals in all of economics as well. Each issue of the journal reaches over 8,000 academics, finance professionals, libraries, government and financial institutions around the world. Published six times a year, the journal is the official publication of The American Finance Association, the premier academic organization devoted to the study and promotion of knowledge about financial economics.
