Please join us for the 2020 Department of Economics Virtual Graduation Celebration

A link to join the celebration will be posted on our website at 12:00 PM on Friday, June 12. We recognize that graduates and guests will be watching from all over the globe, so the link will be available for a number of days following June 12. Speakers will include our Department Chair and our 2020 Distinguished Alumnus, Ramanan Laxminarayan. We will also hear from the Economics Undergraduate Board, and are excited to celebrate our PhD and Bachelors’ degree recipients.
The UW and the Department of Economics are partnering with a vendor called MarchingOrder to create a website that will include slides of our graduates and videos of our speakers. In order to have a slide with your name on it in our department event, you must first complete UW’s 2020 Commencement registration/order form.
A Graduation Celebration program will be posted on our department website and can be downloaded at your convenience. If you do not want your name printed in our event program, please email econadv@uw.edu as soon as possible so that we can accommodate your request.
We recognize that many of you are saddened that we cannot celebrate your accomplishment in person this year, and we share that disappointment with you. However, we are excited to be able to celebrate you in our virtual Graduation Celebration and wish you success and happiness moving forward.
