Department of Economics Assistant Professor Alan Griffith published his paper, "The effects of public campaign funding: Evidence from Seattle's Democracy Voucher program" in the Journal of Public Economics in May 2022. These $25 vouchers were proven to increase the number of voters donating in city elections, as well as the number of candidates. Professor Griffith co-authored the paper with recent Econ graduate Thomas Noonen. Read the full UW News article here.
